Mothership Lamp

The Mothership Lamp is a copper and oak table lamp named for the magnetic warmth it brings a space, it lives in the in-between space of light as decoration and light as necessity.

Warmth above all

The Mothership is made for warmth. It is a lamp not for the task of lighting or the brightening of a room, it isn’t built inherently for decor or the sake of having a lamp, although considering visuals was a big part of the project. The Mothership Lamp invites a deep orange color into a space, casting a visual heat through the mesh and onto its surroundings. Its character is one of friendliness and welcoming, each element fitting the same color scheme that the light gives off. As the copper naturally ages and patinas, the light will evolve with it, giving a humanity to an inanimate object.
