introduction

While currently refining her skills in the BFA Product Design program at Parsons School of Design, Lucy’s journey began with her childhood interest in fine arts and garment construction. She has always been interested in how art pieces can function beyond the visual, and reversely how the utilitarian can become more visually thoughtful.

These early explorations have driven her practice and learning in a direction focused on functionality, personality, and materiality. Lucy’s design thinking asks how we can infuse personality into a modern world that often prioritizes efficiency above all else—because she believes the things we use most should reflect who we are. Through a process of research, experimentation, and creative problem-solving, she aspires to craft objects and experiences that are as functional as they are joyful, bringing delight to the necessary.
